The sixth location for 'News From Home' was in Reykjavik, Iceland. Here we were part of the SIM residency program  for 5 weeks during November 2019.​

 

In this project we are exploring the area of Reykjavik and beyond - it’s places, people and their stories. The ultimate aim of this project is to complete various postcards and larger prints which focus on the anti-iconic. Rather than the well-known or stereotypical images of this community that the outside world or tourist is familiar with, we aimed to create works based around people, stories and objects that are usually hidden.
